Direct-billed on multi-million-dollar Greenwich and Westchester losses. We document the scope to Chubb's Xactimate standard and coordinate directly with their preferred-vendor adjusters.

Common questions
Direct billing FAQ
How does direct insurance billing work?
After our initial inspection we open a claim file with your carrier (or attach to one you've already opened), document the scope to Xactimate pricing, and submit progress + final invoices directly to the adjuster. You pay only your deductible. We don't pull from your funds until the carrier has approved the scope.
Will using 911 Storm count against my homeowner policy?
Filing a covered claim is your right under the policy. We don't recommend filing for losses below your deductible — we'll tell you up front during the inspection whether a claim makes sense. For losses clearly above the deductible (most burst-pipe, sewage backup, fire, and storm losses), claim filing is the standard path.
What carriers do you bill?
Eighteen carriers active across Fairfield and Westchester homeowner policies — including all five major HNW insurers (Chubb, AIG Private Client, PURE, Cincinnati, Vault), the national big six (State Farm, Allstate, Liberty Mutual, Travelers, USAA, Farmers, Nationwide), and major Northeast regionals (Plymouth Rock, Amica, Hanover, Andover, The Hartford, Encompass). Full carrier list on this page.
What documentation do you provide for the claim?
Every job receives: photo documentation of pre-loss condition and damage, moisture mapping with calibrated meters, daily equipment-run and dry-down logs, Xactimate-priced scope of work, antimicrobial application records, third-party clearance test results (for mold), and a final completion report. This is the package adjusters expect.
What if my carrier denies part of the claim?
We've worked enough claims to know what gets pushed back: mold coverage limits, gradual-leak exclusions, hurricane deductible interpretations, code-upgrade exclusions. We document the scope so the basis for our work is clear, and we'll discuss the adjuster's position with you. We don't quietly bill you for denied work without your sign-off.
Do you handle the call to the carrier or do I?
Either way works. Most homeowners prefer to make the initial first-notice-of-loss call themselves (the carrier prefers it too — it's a policyholder action). After that, we can take over communication with the adjuster, file all scope documentation, and run the back-and-forth on changes. You stay informed but not buried in claim mechanics.
How fast does the claim get approved?
For sudden-and-accidental water damage with clear cause, scope approval typically lands within 3-7 days of submission. Mold losses sometimes take longer (carrier may want third-party testing first). We start mitigation immediately — never wait for full approval, because delay multiplies damage.
Do you handle mold-coverage limits?
Yes. Most CT and NY homeowner policies cap mold remediation between $5,000 and $25,000 depending on the policy. We size the scope to maximize what's covered, document the water source that caused the mold (usually triggers a higher water-loss limit), and discuss any portion that would fall outside coverage before work proceeds.
